There is some hope that Bush will not win. He didn't fulfill the terms of the vote authorizing force. Force was to be last resort. Made feeble attempts to get others to join us. Didn't let inspectors finish. Kerry voted assuming he would fulfill those promises. Kerry voted against the $87B because he wanted to separate out the $20B for Iraq, not because he objected to the $67B for troop support. Get the facts!
I work for a defense contractor. I have no problem with our product or customer and their mission. I support them 100% because the better our product works, the less likely someone will get hurt by Bush's ineptness.
You couldn't be here if stars hadn't exploded.
To the question, “Why me?” the cosmos barely bothers to return the reply, “Why not?”

Blogs for kids! Good idea!
No Al-Queda link to Saddam. That is what the commision on 9/11 came up with. No surprize... I can't believe there are those out there who still believe it.

I said it before... it was a mistake to disband the Iraqi army. Too many unemployed men, bitter about life. Now they are pissed and misguided and doing battle instead of working to build a new country.

WMDs 0, zip, nada, not one
Bush should be voted out simply because of this... nothing else makes up for his inept handling of the whole thing.

The mob keeps forgetting....
we are a nation ruled by Law.
Not by men or mobs.
It doesn't matter what "everyone" thinks or wants. If you want the
law changed, then change it but it has to be within the constraints
of the constitution, state or federal.
If you have a law you want but the Judical system won't support it
because of constitutional issues, too bad. That is our system.
Judges have to consider the constitution, nothing else. The "will of
the people" is irrelevant.
If you don't like that, then change the constitution if you can.
That is intentionally very hard to do to protect the disadvantaged or
minority.

Jesus! Why can't they understand? To keep jobs in this country
we have to make education available. We have to have affordable
education. And that includes R&D money for universities to work with.
Tuition is going up, universities are closing and we are watching our
educational capabilities dry up. Concerned about jobs leaving the
country? Then make it possible to have a smart, innovative workforce
here. Democrats can't force industry to keep jobs here. Can't do it.
Republicans can't hope that trickel down will provide enough posperity
keep kids going to school, nor will standardized testing do squat.
What a bunch of crap.

Hey! If you don't like jobs being outsourced, then quit buying cheap Chinese junk. Boycott Chinese made JUNK!
For the rest of the jobs going away... it would help a lot if the tort laws made it cheaper to have an American worker. Universal health care/insurance would also make haveing an American worker more competitive. But single companies can't achieve this, the legislature has to do it.

also... my daughter is getting all bent out of shape because of Bush's amendment... I told her it will never pass. Too many people out there with common sense... I HOPE!

My brother has a theory... Bush wants to go to Mars so that we spend all NASA's budget on it and not science. That way we can't continue to fund research that disproves his religious views. Eventually the MARS flight will be cancelled and all is safe in his world.
Bush also needs to distract from the Iraq war and mess so he is picking on gay marriage. Obviously getting worried he won't be re-elected.
I wish Edwards was doing better. Maybe Super Tuesday will be a boost for him. I think I'll vote for him. I am not sure I like Kerry.

Bush better get going with the reconstruction efforts. And Palestanian solution. We aren't going to get anywhere if this somehow doesn't end up with a nation of Palestine. There has been some noise about us using some air bases in Iraq. I think only if the Iraqis allow it. That is what Rumsfield said today but I am not sure I trust him.
They say peace protesters will protest at the Lockheed plant in Sunnyvale tomorrow. That's where I work but I won't join them. They sound too radical and I don't agree with what they say on their web site. A lot of old news there and they don't know what they are talking about. From what I can tell. Typical conspiracy theory crap. Besides, we don't make weapons in Sunnyvale anymore. They should be in Texas. Uh, well... maybe it would be safer for them in Sunnyvale. I don't mind where they go or what they do, just don't damage my car. Personal property is another issue.

I didn't realize is was so long since I last wrote. The war is going well from the military side. The damn fanatics are killing a lot of people in order to... what? I don't understand them. Do they really think they can win by hiding behind innocents? At this rate it looks like a couple of hundred US soldiers will die although I don't think the toll has gone over a hundred yet. They dropped some more bombs on Saddam again and this time there is some hope we got him. That would be cool. No grief over his loss. I do seem to agree with Bush on one thing, I don't think the UN needs to play a big role in governing Iraq. If I can believe Rumsfield I think we can get control back to the Iraqis faster than the UN. Of course that means the French and Russians may get rooked out of their oil contracts which I think is why they opposed the whole war to begin with. The Arab world is still pissed at us and I still fear that. I only hope that we do what we say and get the Iraqi people what they need and that no civil war erupts. Also that we get out of Iraq in a reasonable manner and don't appear to be controling anything. Like religion in the region. I really wish the Christian missionaries all poised to go "help" could be kept out. That is one factor the region doesn't need. I just woke up and need to get some breakfast. Then take a walk?

NPR had an interview the other day that made a lot of sense to me. The Crusades are something the Muslim world has never forgotten. And a few months ago Bush declared a Crudsade against his axis of evil and evildoers (what a stupid term). The Muslim world has never forgotten the statement and we never noticed it. Jeeze. So to speak!
